For pastry: 250g
butter or margarine
250g sugar powder "BIOSET"
1 yolk of egg
1 teaspoon of baking soda "BIOSET"
a pinch of salt For syrup: 1kg sugar
1/2 teaspoons of citric acid "BIOSET" For decoration: 1/2 tea cup of whole almonds
Knead the butter, sugar, salt and baking soda, add flour and knead well. Add the eggs one by another. When the paste is ready let it to stay for 10 minutes. Take a piece of the paste the size of a walnut and form a small cake. Put the cakes in an oiled baking pan then you can decorate them with almonds smeared with yolk if you wish so. Bake the cakes at a moderate temperature, without browning them. Pour the cakes into sugar syrup while they are still hot. Serve after getting cold.
Polish cake with curds
100g butter or margarine
3 two level teaspoons of pudding powder "BIOSET"
350-400g sugar powder "BIOSET"
1kg of curds
1 pack of vanilla powder "BIOSET"
Stir the yolk of eggs with sugar powder and curds. Add the pudding powder, butter, raisins, almonds, orange peels and egg whites. Beat the mixture carefully and pour it in a baking dish. Bake for an hour at 200 degrees.
